Don't look now, but the iphone-dev team recently released a new version of the iPhone and iPod touch jailbreaking tool, PwnageTool. The latest version bumps itself up to 2.0.3 and includes a lot of useful new additions for any freedom-loving Apple gadget user.
To be more specific, version 2.0.3 provides support for Apple firmware 2.0.2 5C1. It also includes an updated Installer.app beta (b6) and localization support for German users.

A lot of people have been complaining over the slow network connection that the iPhone 3G has been experiencing. I even heard of one woman who threatened to sue Apple over false advertising for the iPhone 3G's speed.

BusinessWeek has gotten word that Apple is planning to move a big batch of iPhone 3G out into the market in the near future. So what's the damage? If BusinessWeek's source is proven true, Apple will be manufacturing 45 million iPhone units in the coming 12 months.

Developer jonz (Jonathan A. Zdiarski) was recently able to give the NES emulator NES.app a new upgrade, bumping up the iPhone homebrew app's to version 2.3.1. The latest build adds a new option, which allows users to toggle the magnification filter while running the application.

While Apple's iPhone firmware 2.0 may have fixed a few problems, it seems that a crash bug has been keeping iPhone owners from enjoying the apps they've installed onto their phones.
The bug, which causes the firmware to not load non-default apps, reportedly occurs with both newly downloaded apps and with updates. There have been a few workarounds put forth, but all of them have so far turned out to be temporary stopgaps.
